Deploring over the circumstances under which the High Court has cancelled the Group-1 main exams conducted by the APPSC and ordered for fresh examinations, TDP chief and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu accused that large scale irregularities in YS Jaganmohan Reddy regime were responsible for it.
Demanding a CBI probe into these irregularities, he also sought stern action against APPSC Chairman Gautam Sawang and also senior IPS officer PSR Anjaneyulu, who were responsible for all this mess in this recruitment drive.
He stronly condemned the alleged practice of selling APPSC jobs under the current administration and expressed strong disapproval of the reported mismanagement.
Naidu highlighted his concerns over the misrepresentation of facts in court proceedings, particularly regarding the alleged failure to conduct second valuations. He went on to deliver a detailed powerpoint presentation outlining the irregularities observed within the APPSC, emphasizing the detrimental impact on the aspirations of youth aspiring for government jobs through Group-1 exams.
The former Chief Minister alleged that APPSC has been converted into a rehabilitation center for the politically unemployed and the youth of the state has been viciously lied to and killed their hopes. He said that there is nothing wrong with the miscreants who have committed the unforgivable crime through mistakes in the commission.
He alleged that after the arrival of Gautang Sawang, the valuation was opened again, the first valuation was hidden and the second time was decided to be done again, the first mistake was made by doing digital valuation, manual valuation was done after digital valuation was done, manual valuation was trampled and it was done again.
He said that Sitaramanjaneyu, who was the secretary of APPSC, was key in the irregularities. He said that they tried to mislead the court by cutting off the valuation process. It was alleged that Tadepalli Palace bosses committed irregularities for the candidates they wanted, and Gautam Sawang, who was at the chairman level, acted accordingly.
Calling for transparency and integrity in the recruitment process, Naidu emphasised the importance of appointing a person of high moral standing as the chairman of the APPSC. He lamented the perceived decline in ethical standards within the commission, contrasting the current situation with the tenure of the TDP government, during which he claimed a chairman known for honesty and integrity was at the helm.
He cautioned against the perceived trend of using the commission for political purposes, urging for a return to principles of meritocracy and impartiality in the recruitment processes.
Chandrababu chose Anganwadi worker from Rampachodavaram
Surprising everyone, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu has chosen an ordinary Anganwadi teacher to face YCP’s MLC Anantha Babu, who is known for his muscle powers, from Rampachodavaram constituency in Alluri Sitaramaraju district.
When TDP announced an ordinary woman named Miriyala Sirisha Devi’s name in its second list of candidates, to fight in the elections from this remote tribal constituency, everyone wondered.
Since some time Anant Babu has been making noises from this sleepy tribal belt, making everyone panic. With the murder of Anantha Babu’s car driver Subramanyam, a dalit youth, raised political sensation all over the state.
MLC Anantha Babu, who is accused of beating the driver to death, has been politically ruling the Rampachodavaram area for several years. He is the main accused in the case of killing Subrahmanyam, a Dalit youth who works as a car driver and delivering him to his home in the same car. Presently Anantha Babu is on bail.
For the past few years, Anantha Babu has been playing a key role in the constituency from the selection of YCP MLA candidates to their victory. There are allegations that Anantha Babu, who is a close relative of the leaders of the strong Kapu community in East Godavari district, has kept the agency area in his palm.
After driver Subrahmanyam’s murder, Anantha Babu became popular across the state. YCP continued him in the party even after he came out on bail. In this background, TDP has fielded an Andanwadi teacher Miriyala Shirishadevias, a candidate of TDP in Rampachodavaram with the aim of blocking YCP.
Shirisha, who taught children for several years as an anganwadi worker, resigned from the job in December last year due to political reasons. She has been working as an Anganwadi worker in Rajavommangi Mandal Anantgiri for eight years.
Her husband Vijaybhaskar is the president of Telugu Youth in the constituency. Due to this, she had to face political harassment. She said that she was subjected to trolling on social media as her husband was in politics.
The TDP claims that the photos were morphed and spread misinformation. She has attended the investigation of the authorities many times on the complaints of not attending the duties. Memos had to be received in the wake of political complaints.
The opponents put intense pressure on the officials of the Women and Child Welfare Department to remove Shirisha Devi from her duties. Due to this, she resigned from the job last year.
In the background of the situation in Rampachodavaram, she was selected as the MLA candidate because she was a local and opposed to Anantha Babu’s faction. In the last three elections, TDP candidates did not win in Rampachodavaram.
TDP won the agency consecutively from 1983 to 2004. Congress candidate won in 2009. In 2014 YCP candidate Rajeshwari and in 2019 Nagulapalli Dhanalakshmi won.
