TDP, Allies Suspecting Police Plot To Sabotage PM’s `Prajagalam’

The ruling YSRCP leadership appears to be in a state of panic due to the overwhelming response to the first joint public meeting of the TDP and its allies, held near Chilukaluripet on Sunday, in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Conservative estimates indicate that more than four lakh people attended the public meeting, making it the largest political gathering in the state in recent times.

However, leaders from the TDP, Jana Sena, and BJP suspect a plot by the state police to sabotage the ‘Prajagalam’ public meeting in order to discourage people from attending in large numbers. These leaders are expressing anger over the non-cooperative attitude of some senior police officers.

Reportedly, BJP leaders have complained to Prime Minister Modi about this issue. The Prime Minister directly addressed the absence of police presence in the area and decided to bring it to the attention of the Union Home Minister.

In light of these developments, it has been decided to raise the issue with the Election Commission as well. The leaders of the three parties intend to file a written complaint against the DGP, DIG, and SP of Palanadu district.

Senior BJP leaders in New Delhi are also said to be taking the issue of ‘security lapse’ at the Prime Minister’s meeting very seriously. Meanwhile, Jana Sena PAC Chairman Nadendla Manohar has stated that the police should be held accountable for the security failure at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Chilakaluripet Prajagalam Sabha.

Highlighting the police’s failure at Modi’s meeting, Manohar emphasized that security concerns were raised with the police but were not addressed. He expressed anger over blank passes being issued for the meeting attended by the Prime Minister, without specifying the names of the recipients.

Manohar questioned the officials’ carelessness and called for a thorough investigation into police lapses. He stated his intention to lodge a complaint with the Election Commission regarding the security failures at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s meeting.

Furthermore, Manohar criticized the officials for their negligence in managing traffic and warned of future difficulties if they continue to act arbitrarily. Despite obtaining permission for the election meeting, he lamented that the authorities did not respond appropriately to security concerns.
