Tamil Actor Simbu Donates Singing Fee From ‘OG’ To AP, TG Flood Relief Efforts

Popular Tamil actor Silambarasan TR, renowned as Simbu, has stepped up to support flood relief efforts in the Telugu states. The actor has generously donated Rs. 6 lakhs to the Chief Minister’s relief fund for both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states. 

Following the devastating floods in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, numerous Telugu film stars like Jr. NTR, Chiranjeevi, Mahesh Babu, Ram Charan, Prabhas, Allu Arjun, Pawan Kalyan, Nagarjuna, Siddu Jonnalagadda, Vishwak Sen, Niharika Konidela, Varun Tej, Sai Durgha Tej, and many other renowned film producers have actively contributed to relief efforts. In solidarity, Tamil actor Simbu marks as the first Tamil actor to make a significant donation to the flood relief efforts.

His heartwarming gesture highlights his deep respect and fondness for the Telugu people. His contribution has been widely applauded by netizens on social media.

In an interesting detail, it is reported that Simbu lent his voice for a song for Pawan Kalyan in his upcoming film ‘OG’, and initially Simbu declined the payment offered, expressing that he did it out of love for Powerstar Pawan Kalyan. However, with Pawan Kalyan and the film’s production house’s insistence, he accepted the payment and then donated the significant amount to the Chief Minister’s Relief Funds of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

On the work front, the actor will be seen in Kamal Haasan’s highly anticipated action crime drama ‘Thug Life’, directed by Mani Ratnam.
