Taking Loans From Everyone, selling Lands Haphazardly Is Revanth Mark Regime, slams Harish Rao

Former finance minister and senior BRS leader T Harish Rao lamented that taking loans from everyone and selling lands haphazardly is the Revanth Reddy mark regime. Participating in the debate on budget in the assembly, he deplored that the Chief Minister recently started a new argument of ‘economic recession’ to cover up his failures.

He alleged that the state’s economic growth rate is decreasing due to the negative effect of the Revanth administration. If economic recession is the recession, he asked why there is no such impact in other parts of the country, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and AP.

Harish Rao lamented that promises were made in the name of change before the elections and those promises were not fulfilled after the elections. He expressed anger that they said that they would do LRS for free before the elections, but now they are collecting a lot of money from the people for LRS.

He lashed out at the ruling party, comparing it with last year’s budget and alleged that last year’s estimates were increased and now the budget estimates have been reduced. He accused them of freely selling government lands.

He said that they had said that they would waive off loans worth Rs 31,000 crore to farmers, but in this budget, only Rs 20,000 crore was shown as being waived off. He said that the name of the Rythu Bharosa scheme was changed but money was not given. He said that not a single rupee was released for farmers to be given farmer insurance and interest-free loans.

Harish Rao said that in the past, when lands were acquired for Pharma City, Congress had protested and promised to return back those lands after the Congress came to power. But, he asked why they are taking those lands after coming to power? He accused the government of changing the name of Pharma City to Future City and grabbing land again.

He said that if they sold unsecured assets in the past, how would they sell them? He recalled that Bhatti had previously said that those who failed in loan waivers were doubting their sincerity. However, he accused that today it has become clear who is incompetent, who is reneging on their word, and who is dishonest.

Harish Rao said that it was not the state that went bankrupt in the past, but its way of thinking. He made it clear that bankruptcy is visible in the policies and administration of the Congress. He wanted to note that the state did not go bankrupt during the BRS regime. He alleged that the Congress’s 6 guarantees had evaporated.
