Visakhapatnam Sri Sarada Peethadhipati Swarupanandendra Saraswati Swami known as YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s `Asthana Peetadhipathi’ and practically guided him in several non-religious matters also. There were several accusations against him of colluding with top YCP leaders like Vijayasai Reddy and YV Subba Reddy in land grabbing activities around Visakhapatnam.
But, soon after Jaganmohan Reddy was bitterly rejected by people in the polls and Chandrababu Naidu is about to become Chief Minister of the state, he has completely changed his voice. Conducting a press meeting on Monday, he made futile attempts to desert Jagan’s shade on him.
He said that he is happy that new governments have been formed at the center and in the state and Chandrababu, Pawan Kalyan and BJP coalition coming to power. He praised the Muhurtham for Chandrababu’s oath taking and said Simha Lagnam is terrific muhurtham.
Stating that he was originally hails from Srikakulam district, he said that he is happy that Yeram Naidu’s son Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu, who is dear to him from his district, has become the Union Cabinet Minister.
Making efforts to convince people that he has no `special proximity’ with Jaganmohan Reddy, he said that no matter what government comes, he will talk only truth.
He said that he is blessing Chandrababu Naidu to administer the government in a way that is pleasing to the people. On the day of swearing in, he said they will also perform Yagas in his Peetham praying for the prosperity of the state.
Swamiji, who did not say a word when Jaganmohan Reddy destroyed `Amaravati dream’, now recalling his association with the capital region. He said that they have also bought land in the capital region of Amaravati and soon they will start construction of their Peetham there.
Indirectly referring to his alleged close association with Jaganmohan Reddy, he made clear that during the last 30 years he had not interfered in the affairs of the state government, whoever may be there. He also said that he has no differences with any leader and in 2014 also he prayed for Chandrababu’s victory.
Stating that Chandrababu is a very respectable and senior leader, he said he prays for his good health and expects proper administration of temples by his government. He expressed hope that Chandrababu will be able to rule in a great way with his close relations with the Centre. He said that whatever government comes impartially, the blessings of Goddess Raja Shyamala will be there.
