This Friday, Sree Vishnu’s madcap thriller SWAG has hit the screens amid good expectations due to the whacky content in the teasers and the trailers. The film secured decent reviews despite some shortcomings because of the crazy screenplay and the unexpected twists and turns. It addresses gender inequality through unconventional story. The performances by the lead artists and the director’s adept handling of a sensitive subject struck a chord with the viewers.
As the film managed to impress moviegoers and critics alike, the makers held a success meet in the evening on the first day. Producer TG Vishwa Prasad made shocking comments on a particular media portal which revealed the plot twists just after the completion of premiere shows in USA. The reviewer called SWAG a pure trash and also spilled the storyline. Vishwa Prasad openly called him a Buffon and a Loafer during his speech.
The producer said he has got the right to express his strong opinion openly because the portal published the twist by the time the team watched the film. He asked the reviewer to take down the post in X platform. Meanwhile, netizens started attacking the portal for its biased review which is intended to kill its theatrical run.
Directed by Hasith Goli, the film is a period drama comedy that explores the journey of the Swaganika dynasty across three different timelines, starting from 1551. Ritu Varma is the female lead.
