SVSN Varma, the former MLA of Pithapuram and senior TDP leader, has issued a public challenge to YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leaders, urging them to engage in an open debate regarding the Kakinada SEZ and port projects. Varma called on the YSRCP leaders to meet him at the Uppada Bus Stand center at 3 PM tomorrow to address these issues.
He stated that failing to show up would mean accepting responsibility for the injustice faced by farmers.
Expressing his readiness to discuss the initiation of the Kakinada SEZ project and the identities of the benamis involved, Varma made pointed remarks about YSRCP leaders, saying that figures like Dadi Shetty Raja, Kanna Babu, and Vanga Geetha appear to be avoiding discussions on these matters.
Varma urged the YSRCP leaders to first acknowledge who brought the SEZ project into the region. Additionally, he mentioned that the registration payment of ₹160 crore for land parcels was a significant achievement credited to Chandrababu Naidu.
