Kollywood superstar Suriya’s much-awaited period action-fantasy, Kanguva, hit the big screens on Thursday, sparking huge excitement among fans. While the film directed by Siva has received a mixed response from critics and audiences, it hasn’t stopped the movie from raking in big numbers at the box office.
Despite some heavy criticism, Kanguva continues to perform strong at the global box office. The film amassed over Rs 31 crore on its second day, bringing its total gross to a solid Rs 89.32 crores in just two days. With the weekend approaching, it’s poised to break the Rs 100 crore barrier by Sunday noon, but with so much riding on it, the film will need to keep up the momentum through the coming week.
