Actor Suriya is currently busy in promoting his much-awaited film ‘Kanguva’, directed by Siruthai Siva. Slated for a pan world release in 38 languages across 1000+ screens, the film will hit theaters on November 14, 2024.

With less than a week ahead of its grand release, the Kanguva team ramped up with promotional activities, hosting events across cities like Vizag, Kochi, Mumbai, Chennai. Most recently, they held a grand pre-release event at the Hyatt in Hyderabad, attended by notable guests such as SS Rajamouli, Boyapati Srinu, Vishwak Sen, Siddu Jonnalagadda, Dil Raju, Suresh Babu, and more.

During the event, visionary director SS Rajamouli showered his admiration for Suriya, noting that the actor inspired him for a pan-Indian cinema. Reminiscing about the release of Suriya’s Gajini, Rajamouli recalled how Suriya came to the Telugu states and connected with audiences, making them feel like he was one of them.

He also stated, “I took Suriya as a case study when he was promoting his film ‘Gajini’. I often tell the producers and my heroes that we need to connect with audiences from other states like the way Suriya did. Suriya, you are the inspiration for me to do a pan-Indian film.” Upon hearing the praise from the maverick director SS Rajamouli, Suriya came out of his seat and hugged him.

Speaking more of ‘Kanguva’, the film features Suriya in a dual role and boasts a stellar cast of Disha Patani, Bobby Deol, Yogi Babu, Natarajan Subramaniam, and others in pivotal roles.
