In a major turn of events, the Supreme Court has issued a notice to BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) over his open accusations of a ₹25,000 crore scam involving the Congress government.
The notice was issued during a Friday hearing that came after Congress leader Atram Suguna had filed a petition. A bench led by Justices Sanjay Karol and Satish Chandra Sharma heard the case. KTR had accused there was an extensive corruption scam under the guise of the Musi River rejuvenation project, which sparked political controversy in Telangana.
Atram Suguna filed a complaint formally at the Utnur police station, and on this basis, a case was registered against KTR. KTR filed a petition in the High Court asking that the FIR be quashed. The High Court, in its decision, held in his favor and rejected the case.
But not content with the High Court ruling, Atram Suguna took the case to the Supreme Court. Accepting her petition, the Supreme Court has now issued a notice to KTR.
This judicial action has once again ignited political heat, and everyone is now waiting to see how KTR will react to the Supreme Court notice in the next few days.
