Steps To Make AP Capital Amaravati A Biodiversity City

The state government has taken steps to make the AP capital Amaravati a biodiversity city. To make it attractive with various types of plants, birds, and species and to prevent temperatures from rising, it is taking suggestions from renowned environmental science professor, biodiversity expert, and retired Vice Chancellor of Delhi University CR Babu.

He is already working on the ‘Mission Clean Ganga’ project. He is also an environmental advisor to various states. CR Babu toured Amaravati and inspected the Seed Access Road, Sakhamuru Park, Neerukonda Reservoir and other areas. Later, their details were recorded. The Rudramadevi pond in Malkapuram, the Shiva temple next to it, and the monolith inscriptions were examined.

The CRDA is planning to build a walking track around the pond and plant various types of flower plants. CRDA officials have started an experimental process of increasing greenery and conservation with drones in the capital. Amaravati Development Corporation officials have decided to provide micro-nutrients to the trees along the Seed Access Road in Amaravati through drones.

The coalition government is adopting modern methods to make Amaravati a green capital. CRDA officials had previously developed 10 kilometers of greenery in the buffer zone along the Seed Access Road. The experiment of preserving greenery through drones has yielded results. Micronutrients were sprayed on the trees along the Seed Access Road.

With this, the ADC (Amaravati Development Corporation) has decided to monitor it effectively with the help of drones in the future. Accordingly, it is paying special attention. Modern technology is being used for monitoring these. Previously, the TDP government had developed 10 km of greenery in the buffer zone along the Seed Access Road in the capital.

The YSRCP government that came after this completely neglected this and the trees dried up. The coalition government has started the reconstruction work of Amaravati. As part of this, it has started measures to increase greenery.
