Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK chief M.K. Stalin has expressed support for the resolution passed by the Telangana Legislative Assembly opposing the reorganization of Lok Sabha constituencies. He stated that the demand raised in Chennai had materialized in Hyderabad, emphasizing that a transparent delimitation process upholds justice, equality, and the spirit of federalism.
Stalin criticized the proposed delimitation law by the Centre, alleging that it would undermine democratic balance. He described the all-party meeting in Chennai and the resolution in the Telangana Assembly as initial steps, expressing hope that other states would follow suit.
The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister also announced that the second meeting of the Joint Action Committee would be held in Hyderabad. He asserted that any unjust alteration of the country’s future would not be allowed and termed the Telangana Assembly’s resolution a significant milestone.
