Superstar Mahesh Babu will be the next hero from Tollywood to set sights on expanding his market beyond regional shores after Prabhas, NTR, Ram Charan and Allu Arjun because he will feature in an international project in the direction India’s biggest auteur SS Rajamouli. The untitled film, which is tentatively called SSMB29, will be made on sensational budget of 1000 Crores, featuring artists from different languages.
Even before the start of the regular shooting, the prestigious and much-hyped SSMB29 seems to be breaking barriers because Mahesh Babu has made a surprise apperance for the formal launch held in Hyderabad today morning. The intimate and private ceremony had no media access and saw only a few guests like Rajamouli’s previous films. It was held in Aluminium factory inside closed doors without any official update.
Mahesh Babu usually skips attending the launch events of his films as a sentiment which he has been following since many years. His wife Namrata used to attend the pooja ceremony of his films on his behalf. So, many expected that Mahesh won’t turn up for this launch and stay away from media attention.
In an unexpected turn of events, Mahesh attended the formal launch and shocked everyone. While some say that the official pooja ceremony was held long back and Mahesh Babu took part in the formal shoot today, others claim that it was Rajamouli who convinced the actor and asked him to break his long standing myth.
Sources revealed that Rajamouli was very particular in changing Mahesh Babu’s misconception and forced him to attend the launch this date. It is further revealed that Mahesh might continue attending the opening ceremonies from now if SSMB29 gives the desired result as expected by him.
The regular shooting is expected to start very soon and it is heard that the film will release in two parts. Priyanka Chopra is said to be finalized as the female lead and Prithviraj Sukumaran will play a significant role in this globe trotting action adventure set in the African jungle.
