Renowned filmmaker SS Rajamouli, who has been behind cinematic landmarks like Baahubali and RRR, has taken fans by surprise, naming Eega as his favorite film from all of his films.
The disclosure came during a special interaction segment of the pre-release event of Junior’s upcoming movie, during the presentation of scenes from Rajamouli’s films. When the film Eega was displayed, Rajamouli did not shy away from instantly declaring it as the best film he has made.
What is surprising is that fans expected either Baahubali or RRR to be one of Rajamouli’s record-busting global blockbusters to be named the best. However, the film Eega is close to Rajamouli personally for emotional and creative reasons because it tells the tale of a man reincarnated as a housefly seeking revenge.
Eega was a breakthrough film in Indian cinema, being bold in its new idea, visual effects, and fresh narration. Though it didn’t quite measure up to the scale of some of his subsequent productions, it reflected the bold creativity and brilliant narration of Rajamouli.
