Tollywood’s talented comedian Vennela Kishore is coming to entertain audiences, but this time as a protagonist with his upcoming film “Srikakulam Sherlock Holmes.” Written and directed by writer Mohan, the film team recently announced the release date and confirmed that the film is slated for a Christmas release, hitting theaters on December 25, 2024.
With just a month to its theatrical release, the filmmakers unveiled the film’s teaser today, promising ultimate fun and mystery. The film is set against the backdrop of the 90s; the teaser opens with a news reporter on the assassination of then Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, setting the stage for the story.
Vennela Kishore takes on the role of a quirky detective tasked with solving a challenging case, blending humor and intrigue in his portrayal as Srikakulam Sherlock Holmes. His character resembles Chiranjeevi’s iconic character Chantabbai.
With a gripping narrative, the teaser also highlights the film’s stellar supporting cast, including Ananya Nagalla as the female lead, alongside Siya Gowtham, Anish Kuruvilla, Ravi Teja Mahadasyam, Muralidhar Goud, and others in significant roles.
The film is produced by Vennapusa Ramana Reddy under the banner of Sri Ganapati Cinemas, presented by Lasya Reddies. Sunil Kayap composed the musical score for this flick, with Mallikarjun Naragani as the cinematographer. Avinash Gullinka handles the editing. The film’s anticipated trailer will be revealed soon.
