Tollywood sensation Sree Leela has been on a roll with numerous major projects in South Indian films. She has grabbed leading roles alongside star heroes in Telugu cinema. Now, adding to the excitement, Sree Leela is set to make her Bollywood debut in Siddharth Malhotra’s upcoming project.
Bollywood heartthrob Siddharth Malhotra is currently gearing up for his next ‘Mitti’, helmed by Balwinder Singh Janjua. Touted to be a family drama with a blend of action and emotion, the film is set against the backdrop of North India.
According to Pinkvilla, their sources revealed that Tollywood beauty Sree Leela will be the leading lady pairing opposite Siddharth Malhotra. They also reported that the film’s shooting is expected to commence in October 2024.
The source said, “It’s a strong author-backed role for Sree Leela, and the actress was in the lookout for a character like this. On reading the script, it was an instant yes from her end. She is excited to collaborate with Sid to start her journey in the Hindi Film Industry.”
They further added, “The pre-production is going on in full swing and the makers are committed to take the film on floors in the winters. Mitti is a rooted action-family drama, a genre which explores the intense side of Sid, and he is also excited to step into this world of Balwinder Singh Janjua directorial.”
On the work front, Sree Leela has a handful of movies in Telugu cinemas with star heroes, including Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’, Nithiin’s ‘Robinhood’, and Ravi Teja’s ‘RT 75’. Additionally, she will also appear in two Kannada films.
