Speaker Ayyanna Patrudu says progress Is possible only Through women’s Empowerment

AP Legislative Assembly Speaker Chintakayala Ayyanna Patrudu said that the country’s progress is possible only through women’s empowerment. He expressed satisfaction over the successful completion of the first National Conference of Parliament and Legislative Assembly Committees on Women’s Empowerment in Tirupati.

He said that the resolutions made at the Women’s Empowerment Conference have given rise to a new self-confidence. He said that equal rights for women, more representation in politics, education, employment, opportunities in the economic sectors, and building a safe society are not just slogans, but goals that we need to achieve. He said that women’s power is our power of progress, and if we can use that power in the right direction, our country will become stronger.

AP Governor Abdul Nazeer said that women’s empowerment is not limited to women, but gives freedom to the entire society and a strong democratic society. He said that Sati and child marriage did not exist in the Vedic period. He emphasized that Manusmriti makes it clear how much women were respected in the Vedic period by saying that divinity flourishes where women are respected.

Governor emphasized that religion has played a huge role in the equality of women in India.  Abdul Nazeer clarified that if a woman is happy in a family, the whole family is happy and the same applies to the entire country.

“In Vedic India, educational opportunities were available to women from all walks of life. Poet Molla translated the Ramayana from Sanskrit into Telugu. Raja Ram Mohan Roy brought the abolition of child marriage and brought the bizarre remarriage laws,” he recalled.

D. Purandeshwari, Chairperson of the Women Empowerment Committee of the Indian Parliament, said that they will work for India’s digital transformation through Digital India, Startup India and Atmanirbhar Bharat, and will share these initiatives to rebuild the economy, governance and employment.

“By promoting digital education for women of all ages, we will bridge the digital divide and move towards equality in the digital space. We will promote science, technology, engineering, and mathematics among women, and create awareness among women about cybercrime and fraud”, she added. Deputy Speaker Raghurama Krishnam Raju said that women are key players in society.
