Actor Sudheer Babu has described his upcoming film Jatadhara as “a movie with the punch of Hyderabadi Dum Biryani,” highlighting that it is designed to appeal to both Telugu and Hindi audiences. The film, starring Sonakshi Sinha in a pivotal role, is jointly directed by Venkat Kalyan and Abhishek Jaiswal, and produced by G Studios and Prerana Arora. Srinivas Avasarala and Shilpa Shirodkar play key supporting roles. The movie is scheduled for a theatrical release on November 7, and the trailer was officially unveiled by superstar Mahesh Babu on Friday.
Speaking at a press meet in Hyderabad, Sudheer Babu expressed his enthusiasm for the film, noting, “As a child, I loved thrilling stories of wealth and spirits, and when director Venkat narrated this story, I experienced that same excitement. Audiences will feel a similar thrill in theaters. The movie blends a strong storyline with action, drama, fantasy, and spiritual elements, and for the role of the wealth spirit, only Sonakshi Sinha could fit perfectly. Fans of superstar cinema can expect a special surprise.”
Directors Venkat Kalyan and Abhishek Jaiswal highlighted the hard work behind the project, stating, “We have brought a fresh concept to the screen. While the trailer looks impressive, the full film will exceed expectations.” Sonakshi Sinha added, “I am thrilled to mark 15 years in the film industry by stepping into Telugu cinema with Jatadhara. I play a wealth spirit who frightens everyone and draws them into love, and I am excited for audiences to see this character come alive.”
The press event was attended by key cast and crew members, including Shilpa Shirodkar, Prerana Arora, Umesh, Shivin, Indira, Rohit Pathak, Ravi Prakash, Kumanan, and Alekhya. The event showcased the film’s star-studded lineup and generated significant buzz ahead of its November 7 release.
