Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu recently conducted an important meeting with PNC Menon, Sobha Group chairman and founder of the Dubai-based leading real estate development company. In a thrilling move, Sobha Group pledged ₹100 crores towards the construction of a world-class library in Amaravati, the capital city of Andhra Pradesh. CM Naidu thanked him from the bottom of his heart for this huge philanthropic gesture, realizing the significance such initiatives hold in putting the city’s international status at par.
The Chief Minister commended Sobha Group for its commitment towards the development of Amaravati and for initiating the construction of a world-class library, which will be a cultural and intellectual center for the city. He reasserted that Amaravati is being built with a vision to become one of the world’s most contemporary cities and invited Sobha Group to become an integral part of the city’s developing infrastructure.
Apart from talking about the library scheme, CM Naidu also touched upon the potential of the state as an attractive hub for investment from around the world. Plans for three-year infrastructure development, such as road improvements, water supply systems, and the establishment of a skilled workforce as a source for business expansion, were presented by him. The CM also informed that future projects such as a Google Data AI Hub at Visakhapatnam and a Quantum Valley at Amaravati are also going to accelerate the state’s growth economically and technologically.
CM Naidu went on to share that major global corporations target Andhra Pradesh’s major cities—Visakhapatnam, Tirupati, and Amaravati—to establish their businesses. Menon, in the meeting, reminded the meeting of the great development achievements made during the old Andhra Pradesh time and reiterated his continued commitment to support the state’s aggressive development efforts.
Continuing this cooperation, CM Naidu invited Menon to the CII Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam on November 14-15 where they will discuss additional projects and opportunities for further cooperation.
