The SIT is set to file a charge sheet in the AP liquor case today. At the same time, YSRCP MP P Mithun Reddy, who is in A4 in this case and avoiding police, seems certain to be arrested. He has reportedly indicated to officials that he will appear before the SIT for questioning today. So, it seems that Mithun’s arrest is likely to be shown after the questioning.

What kind of matters will be mentioned in the 300-page charge sheet to be filed is creating interest. Who will be shown as the ultimate beneficiary is becoming crucial? Is said to be the main question. Former Minister Narayana Swamy has received a call from the SIT to appear for questioning. With this, it seems that key developments are likely to take place in this case today.

A SIT petition has already been filed in the Vijayawada ACB court on Friday seeking an arrest warrant against Mithun Reddy. The court, after examining it, found that the memo given by the Supreme Court and other documents were not attached and returned it. It sent it back to file a petition with the relevant documents.

The Supreme Court has already rejected the petition filed for anticipatory bail. At this juncture, the SIT officials have approached the Vijayawada ACB court seeking a warrant to arrest Mithun. In this case, the authorities are moving forward as per the law to conduct searches in the areas where Mithun Reddy resides and make an arrest.

The SIT officials have already issued a lookout circular against Mithun Reddy. The SIT has stated that he is a close aide of  former chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy. The SIT has concluded that Mithun Reddy played a key role in creating a hawala network with Raj Kasireddy to collect kickbacks from distilleries and supply companies and transferring the collected amount to Bigg Boss.

It has been confirmed that the multi-tiered hawala network was designed, implemented and monitored under his watch. As evidence is available, the SIT is taking all legal steps for his arrest.
