Vijayawada: The initial day of interrogations of the accused in the Liquor Scam concluded under the supervision of SIT Chief Rajasekhar Babu. Four key suspects, including prime accused Raj Kesireddy, Dhanunjaya Reddy, Krishnamohan Reddy, and Balaji Govindappa, were questioned separately for eight hours.
The SIT focused on uncovering details about the deployment of funds collected through the scam, including investments and purchases of high-value assets. The accused were questioned about the ownership and purpose behind expensive vehicles and money channeled into businesses owned by their family members.
Records of properties acquired by the accused between 2019 and 2024 were obtained from the registration department and used as a basis for detailed questioning. The SIT is intensifying the probe to uncover the full extent of the accused’s involvement.
