The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has concluded that Kasireddy Rajasekhar Reddy, who is considered to be the key mastermind and protagonist in the Rs.1000 crore liquor scam that took place during the YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s regime, has absconded as per the plan. It seems that he went into hiding with the help of some police officers who held key positions in the Jagan government.
The SIT officials have been in Hyderabad for two days to search for the whereabouts of Kasireddy, who ignored the High Court orders and evaded the investigation despite being given notices three times. As part of the second day of inspections, on Tuesday, inspections were conducted at IT Solutions Private Limited, where Raj Kasireddy’s wife’s sister Meghana Reddy and her mother Sujatha Reddy are directors.
The SIT, which collected evidence that most of the financial transactions were done through this company, has seized documents related to the transactions of the last five years. On the other hand, it is reported that the authorities have also conducted searches at Areti Hospital, where Kasireddy’s wife Divya Reddy and her close relative Teegala Vijayender Reddy are directors, and seized key documents.
It is learned that the SIT, which has also pulled the plug on the transactions of ED Creations, which is being conducted in the name of the accused’s daughter Ishani, was continuing its searches till Tuesday night. Meanwhile, the SIT officials who are searching for Raj Kasireddy have found the whereabouts of his parents.
They went there and questioned the accused’s father Upender Reddy. However, when asked about his son’s whereabouts, phone number, the car he uses, and his friends, he only replied ‘I don’t know’, and it is reported that he has been given a notice to appear for questioning at the SIT office in Vijayawada.
On the other hand, the SIT officials found a luxurious car worth Rs. 1.33 crores belonging to Kasireddy in the farmhouse belonging to his friend on the outskirts of Hyderabad. Upon receiving information about Raj’s presence, the officers who went there found only the car. It was seized and it was learned that they were searching for Kasireddy with the help of AI technology.
