Review:
Sree Vishnu, who gained recognition for playing more serious roles, has now completely transformed with his excellent comic timing. His natural dialogue delivery and humor make him a hit with young audiences. After films like Sammohanam and Swag, his performance in this movie continues to impress. His dialogue about having more fans for his comedy than his looks is a true reflection of his growing popularity. The director has given him a role that perfectly matches his body language and style.
Vennela Kishore is once again outstanding as the hero’s “troubled friend,” delivering hilarious moments with his brilliant comic timing. Single offers plenty of scenes that showcase his talents. Heroines Ketika Sharma and Ivana fit well in their roles, giving solid performances. Rajendra Prasad’s brief serious role doesn’t leave a lasting impact, while VTV Ganesh adds his signature comedic touch to his scenes. The rest of the supporting cast delivers decent performances, though nothing particularly extraordinary.
Sree Vishnu, and Vennela Kishore, steal the show in this comedy movie, entertaining the audience with their witty performances. Vennela Kishore’s lungi scene is especially guaranteed to make you laugh. The movie is full of laughs and is an entertaining watch. Although the romantic subplot with the heroines sometimes borders on being absurd, the comedy steals the show Ivana’s character, which initially feels light, suddenly takes a serious turn, adding some emotional depth, but this shift feels somewhat disconnected from the rest of the film.
The director brings the climax back to a light, comedic tone, but it lacks any significant, impactful moments. The ending feels casual, leaving the climax underwhelming. Though Single 2 is hinted at, the movie is mainly a fun time-pass with little more to offer beyond the comedy.
Vishal Chandrasekhar’s music in Single is fairly average. The soundtrack doesn’t stand out, and none of the songs leave a lasting impression. However, his background score complements the film’s lively atmosphere. Vel Raj’s cinematography is impressive, with visually captivating shots, and the production values meet the film’s needs. The dialogues by Bhanu and Nandu add a unique flavor to the film, enhancing its overall appeal.
Director Caarthick Raju has done a good job understanding the current trend of comedy films in Telugu. He wrote a straightforward story and created roles that perfectly suit Sree Vishnu and Vennela Kishore, letting the comedy take center stage. Though the plot is simple, Caarthick’s storytelling keeps the movie engaging and fun without losing momentum.
Single is a light-hearted comedy that has its fair share of entertaining moments, thanks mainly to the strength of the comedians Sree Vishnu and Vennela Kishore. Though the film does have a very simple premise and the love stories are cliche, it is entertaining because of its funny moments with engaging comedy and cheerful characters. The music and cinematography was average at best, but the dialogue and comic timing were the best part! Overall, this film is easy, fun, silly, and simple entertainment. Go watch it if you want to laugh.
