Singapore Company Grants Paid Holiday for Tamil Employees to Watch ‘Cooli’

A Singapore-based company has reportedly granted a special paid holiday to its Tamil-speaking employees to watch the highly anticipated film Cooli on its release day. Additionally, the company is providing SGD 30 per employee to cover expenses for first-show tickets and snacks. A company notice described the initiative as part of its “employee welfare and stress management program,” which has gone viral on social media. This move has sparked excitement among Rajinikanth fans in India.

Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Cooli is an action-packed entertainer featuring Rajinikanth alongside prominent actors such as Nagarjuna, Aamir Khan, Upendra, Shruti Haasan, and Sathyaraj. The film’s recently released trailer and Anirudh’s music have raised expectations to new heights.

Cooli has also set a record by selling its overseas distribution rights at the highest price in Tamil cinema history. The film is slated for a global release in over 100 countries on August 14.

However, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) awarding Cooli an ‘A’ certificate has caused concern among some fans. Given Rajinikanth’s extensive family audience, there is speculation that the adult rating may impact family viewership.

Despite this, anticipation remains high as the film’s release draws near, with fans worldwide eagerly awaiting Cooli’s debut.
