Siddu Jonnalagadda’s ‘Jack’ to Stream on Netflix

The action-comedy thriller Jack, starring Siddu Jonnalagadda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya in the lead roles, is set to make its OTT debut on Netflix from May 8. Directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar, the film, which was released theatrically on April 10, will now be available to audiences in five languages — Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. The streaming announcement was confirmed by Netflix through an official social media post.

Marketed as a spy-action comedy, Jack follows the story of Pablo Neruda alias Jack, a lively and unconventional youngster who believes that any task without fun is meaningless. After being rejected in several job interviews for his eccentric attitude, Jack aspires to join the intelligence agency RAW. Even before being selected, he embarks on a secret mission named “Operation Butterfly” alongside IPS officer Ranganath to track and neutralize a terror threat.

The plot thickens with the entry of Afshan Begum, a character who shadows Jack’s movements, unveiling a second operation titled “Red Thunder.” The film delves into whether Jack can dismantle the terror plot and secure a place in RAW. Despite Siddu’s praised performance and effective comic timing, Jack fell short of commercial expectations at the box office.
