Sharmila Says Non-Hindus should sign on Declaration At Tirumala

To protect the sanctity of Tirumala, APCC Chief YS Sharmila has made it clear that if any non-Hindu pilgrim comes for darshan of Swami Venkateswara, they must sign on a declaration as per the rules. Responding over the Tirumala laddu controversy and declaration issues she said  that the rule to give a declaration in Tirumala is applicable to all.

Meanwhile, in a letter to the Supreme Court Chief Justice she urged that the Apex Court should take this issue as suo moto and order for a CBI investigation immediately on the allegations of adulteration of animal fat in Tirumala Laddu Prasadam ghee. Otherwise, she pleaded that the Supreme Court should order the SIT set up by the state government to work under its direct supervision.

She deplored that both the ruling parties and main opposition party in the state are politicizing the entire issue. She alleged that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was aware of adulteration of ghee in the preparation of Tirumala Laddu and questioned why action is not being taken against the culprits even though there is evidence and reports?

She accused that Chief Minister Chandrababu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and former chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy are resorting to `cleaning’ (prakshalana) acts only for the sake of politics. Sharmila lamented that they are competing against each other and doing lousy religious politics.

She asserted that the available evidence shows the YS Jagan government involved in adulterating the Tirumala Laddu and the suppliers were criticized for supplying adulterated ghee as they bought ghee below the market price.

Sharmila deplored that the ruling and opposition parties are working to fuel communal tensions in the state. Stating that the need of the hour is initiations, but not taking oaths, she wondered if there is real governance in the state?

Cow ghee is available in the market at a minimum price between Rs.700 to Rs.1,000. If we give the same ghee for Rs.310, he wondered if Jagan doesn’t have a common sense that it is adulterated? She felt that everyone knew in the previous government that laddoos were adulterated and animal fat was added. Besides, she said the NDDB report is also available as strong evidence.

Then who is preventing both Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan from taking action against the accused? Is there a secret agenda of creating communal tensions behind them?, she asked. She lamented that Pawan is running under the direction of the BJP and Chandrababu under the direction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and both are showing interest in raising communal tensions.
