AP Congress President YS Sharmila lamented that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has now turned down his ‘Super Six’ election promises into a lucky draw. She said that the presentation given by AP CM on Monday is proof of this and termed the Super Six a super flop.
Sharmila lashed out at Chandrababu for presenting the NITI Aayog report and saying that schemes will be implemented only if there is money. She criticized Chandrababu’s approach, saying that if you want schemes, you need to increase income. She accused him of tying a bald head to a bald head and accused the people of the state of being cheated badly if they trusted him and gave him power.
She expressed anger that he cheated 50 lakh breadwinners and betrayed 80 lakh students, besides cheating 1.5 crore women. Moreover, she added that he played games with the lives of 50 lakh unemployed people. Sharmila recalled that Chandrababu had said that there was no financial flexibility for the schemes and that the reason was the financial ruin of the previous YSRCP government.
She wondered that before making promises in the elections, Chandrababu did not know that Jagan’s financial ruin was terrible. She questioned whether it was not reflected in the design of the ‘Super Six’ schemes that the state’s financial burden was.
Sharmila reminded that it was Chandrababu while in the opposition said that the state was in debt of Rs. 14 lakh crore and promised to pay the debt within 100 days if the alliance wins. She questioned how reasonable it was to fold on the promises made after the votes were cast?
Sharmila demanded on behalf of the AP Congress to stop making excuses that the state is in debt and that debts are not being incurred. She asked Chandrababu that he must focus on the implementation of the schemes.
Recalling TDP’s crucial support for the survival of the Narendra Modi government and Chandrababu Naidu has been playing the role of `elder brother’ in the center, she demanded him to insist PM Modi on the poor financial condition of the state and get necessary resources.
She also demanded the Chief Minister that a high-level investigation be immediately conducted into the financial chaos that occurred during the last five years of YSRCP rule, as stated by NITI Aayog. She wanted him to find out where the state’s revenue had gone. If the Center does not provide money for the schemes, she advises the TDP chief that the support given to the BJP should be withdrawn immediately.
