APPC president YS Sharmila has strongly condemned the removal of YSR’s name from education and medical institutions by the Telugu Desam, Janasena and BJP coalition government led by Nara Chandrababu Naidu. She advised the Chief Minister not to show his anger against YCP on former chief minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy.
She said that former CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had done a big mistake by removing NTR’s name in the past to the University of Health Sciences. However, she deplored that unfortunately now the present Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is also walking on the same path. To this extent, she reacted sharply in a post on X platform.
Sharmila said that the removal of the name of former Chief Minister YSR from medical colleges and college hospitals in AP is considered as an `act of revenge’. She said that both NTR and YSR have contributed to the development of Andhra Pradesh in their own way and both of them have left their mark in governance.
The APCC chief said that it is not reasonable to attribute cheap politics to both of them and she asserted that we have to look both of them beyond politics.
Sharmila hailed that every scheme implemented by YSR such as Arogya Shri, fee reimbursement, loan waiver, free electricity, pensions, etc. are ideal not only to the state, but for the entire country. She said that YSR is not owned by any party, but he is the asset of all the Telugu people.
She made it clear that still in the hearts of a;; Telugu people the place of YSR is very strong. She reiterated that YCP, headed by YS Jaganmohan Reddy is not at all related to former chief minister Rajasekhar Reddy. She lamented that it will always be the party of YV Subbareddy, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy and Vijayasai Reddy.
