Shamshabad’s Rajiv Gandhi Airport Faces Bomb Threat

In recent weeks, a troubling pattern of bomb threat calls targeting aircraft has emerged, catching the attention of the central government. This morning, Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad was the latest site to receive such a threat, leading to widespread panic among passengers and staff.

The bomb threats were specifically aimed at three flights: two Indigo flights headed for Chennai and one arriving from the city. In response, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) acted swiftly, launching thorough inspections on the affected aircraft. Airport personnel quickly notified officials and security teams, who conducted extensive security checks to ensure the safety of all passengers.

This disturbing surge in bomb threats is not taken lightly by the central government,” Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu said, while addressing the situation at Shamshabad Airport. He further mentioned, “Now, there is an overall inquiry underway.” The local police became more vigilant in finding out and catching the criminals; security was intensified to safeguard travelers and operations of the airport.
