A day after a TDP women leader allegedly sexually assaulted her and soon after the TDP leadership suspended him from the party, a case was registered in Tirupati East Police Station on Satyavedu MLA Koneti Adimulam on Friday.
The police have registered a case of sexual harassment on the complaint filed by the aggrieved women. The victim complained that she was raped at Bhimas Paradise Hotel in Tirupati. The police collected the CCTV footage of the hotel.
The video of TDP MLA Koneti Adimulam’s sexual activities has become a sensation in Andhra Pradesh politics. Koneti Adimulam, who joined TDP before the election and won as MLA, was caught with a video of sexual activity. The victim released the video of the MLA’s assault on her only on Thursday.
The victim wrote a letter to TDP chief and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu complaining against the MLA. Regarding this matter. In her complaint she stated that “I am the president of Satyavedu constituency of Tirupati district Telugu Mahila. I am 36 years old. I have a husband Giri Babu and two daughters. I did programs like Mahalakshmi, Yuvagalam, Babutho Nenu, Badude Badudu, Super Six, dharnas and protests against the then state government for the Telugu Desam Party to come to power. I did programs against the then YCP MLA Koneti Adimulam”.
“I strongly opposed the declaration of Koneti Adimulam as the TDP candidate. I urged the party not to give B form. However, after giving him the B form, I worked tirelessly to make Chandrababu the Chief Minister by mobilizing the women and party leaders of all the mandals. After becoming an MLA, he became vindictive against me”.
“By behaving rudely, he pressured me to have sex. I used to run away. But, Adimulam threatened me to fulfill his wish. Unable to bear this harassment.. On 06-07-2024 at room no. 109 of Tirupati Bhimas Paradise at 4 pm and on 17-07-2024 at room no. 105 at 3 pm, Adimulam molested me sexually. After that, in the middle of the night, he made phone calls whenever he could and tortured him”, she added.
She said that her husband noticed the MLA calling her repeatedly. When he started questioning her, she said she told him what happened. “According to my husband’s instructions.. I decided to expose him. I went to Bhima’s Paradise Room No. 105 with a pen camera when the MLA called again. I captured his lustful games on a pen camera and handed it over to my husband”, she said.. Therefore, the victim wrote a letter to Chandrababu saying that legal action should be taken against the MLA and also requested to provide protection to her family.
