Senior AP officials To stay In villages From May 21 To 23 under `Swarnandhra Sankalpam’

IAS, IPS, IFS officers along with department heads of AP government are going to the villages on the 21st, 22nd and 23rd of this month. They will sleep in the local secretariat or in the Anganwadi center/school building for two nights, staying for three days. They will try to understand people’s problems.

The Planning Department is preparing activities to this extent in accordance with the orders of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu that all civil service officers should sleep in the villages. This program has been named ‘Swarnandhra Sankalpam’. Draft guidelines have already been prepared in this regard.

A workshop will be organized for the officers soon regarding the implementation of the program. Officers going to the villages should stay away from political leaders. They should not go to their houses. They should not stay in the houses of leaders at night when it is hot or mosquitoes are biting. The government itself will indicate where to sleep on the first night and where to sleep on the second night.

Initially, it was planned to send only civil service officers for the Swarnandhra Sankalpa program. Excluding those on leave, there will be 290 people in the state, including 150 IAS, 90 IPS, and 50 IFS. Later, it was decided to make department heads also part of the program. They will be around 100. That is, there is a possibility of around 400 people going to Palle Nidra.

A committee of senior officials headed by Planning Department Principal Secretary Piyush Kumar is working on who should go where. Officials will also go door to door to find out details about the implementation of government schemes. How are the schemes being implemented? Do they want anything else? What are the needs of the people? Should changes be made in the schemes?

Discussions will also be held with savings associations, water associations, and school committees. A special app has been created for the Swarnandhra Sankalpa program. The officers should record all the aspects related to each of their programs in it. After participating in the village walk, they should also include the study details of the issues they observe in the app.

The Planning Department will compile all of them and report them to the government. The officers who stay there for two nights and three days will go to every place where government services are provided locally. First, they will go to the village/ward secretariat and interact with the staff there.

How many people are there in the secretariat? What responsibilities are they looking after? Is there any work pressure? They will talk to them. They will find out their problems. What are the long-standing problems in the village? What kind of petitions are coming? Are they being resolved? Other issues will be taken from them.
