Director Sekhar Kammula, speaking during the promotions of his upcoming film Kuberaa, praised actor Dhanush for his effortless one-take performance. He admitted to feeling slightly anxious before filming, considering Dhanush’s own directorial experience, but was pleasantly surprised by his humility and precision. “He’s a multi-talented artist — actor, director, singer, lyricist. But on set, he was completely focused and delivered in just one take,” said Kammula in an interview alongside co-star Nagarjuna.
Kuberaa, starring Dhanush, Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna, and Jim Sarbh, is set for a theatrical release on June 20. Kammula noted that this was his first time directing such a star-heavy cast and praised each actor for their unique contribution. He shared his admiration for Jim Sarbh’s fluency in Telugu and Tamil and described Rashmika’s role as “distinct and impactful.” Set in Mumbai, the film has been crafted with a high budget tailored to its storyline. Produced by Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao, Kuberaa is expected to be a major multilingual release this summer.
