Security Lapse During Pawan’s Tour – Fake IPS Officer Creates Stir

Security concerns have resurfaced during Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan’s recent tour, highlighting issues with safety protocols. Despite previous critiques over insufficient security during his visits, a new incident has brought further attention to these lapses. During Pawan Kalyan’s visit to Parvathipuram Manyam district, a man posing as an IPS officer managed to infiltrate the event and disrupt proceedings.

Given the Maoist influence in the region, the security was heightened to the level of a tour in the region. However, Surya Prakash, in an IPS uniform, escaped the security checking and caused a sensation during the event. He was later taken into custody by Vizianagaram police while coming from Vizianagaram to Hyderabad. The administration is currently probing his cause of visit to the meet under police uniform.

Surya Prakash, an employee in the Weights and Measures Department, is believed to have attended the tour with the intent to meet Pawan Kalyan. The incident has raised questions regarding how he acquired the police uniform and why he was allowed access despite the heightened security. The man has been identified as a resident of Mudidam in Vizianagaram district, and further inquiries into his actions are underway.
