New Delhi: The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the appointment of five new judges to the High Courts of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The recommendations were made during a meeting held on June 2, under the chairmanship of Chief Justice of India Justice B.R. Gavai.
For the Telangana High Court, the Collegium proposed the names of Suddala Chalapathi Rao, Gadi Praveen Kumar, Vakiti Ramakrishna Reddy, and Ghouse Meera Mohiddin. Tuhin Kumar has been recommended for appointment to the Andhra Pradesh High Court.
The Collegium has forwarded the recommendations to the Union Government for approval. Following the Centre’s concurrence, the appointments will be formalised through notifications issued by the President of India.
