Today, on Friday evening, Samantha Ruth Prabhu shared the sudden demise of her father, Joseph Prabhu. She penned an emotional note, saying, “Until we meet again” with a broken heart emoji.
The cause of his death is not known yet. His father Joseph made very rare appearances on her social media. Soon after the actress shared this news, actor Teja Sajja offered condolences to Samantha on Twitter. He wrote, “May you find peace in the memories you shared with your father. My deepest sympathies to you and your family members, dear Samantha Ruth Prabhu Garu.”
Recently, Samantha opened up about her strained relationship with her father and how it affected her self-worth. In an interview with Galatta India, she said, “All my life growing up, I had to fight for validation. My father was kind of like.. I think most Indian parents are like that. They think that they’re protecting you.” She continued, “My father actually told me, “You’re not that smart. This is just the standard of Indian education. That’s why even you can get a first rank. When you say that to a child, I really believed for the longest time that I’m not smart and not good enough.”
