Washington D.C.: Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s 2012 blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger has earned global recognition with its poster being displayed at the prestigious International Spy Museum in Washington D.C. This makes it the first Indian film to achieve such an honor, now showcased alongside iconic Hollywood franchises like James Bond and Mission Impossible.
Director Kabir Khan expressed his happiness on social media, noting that the true success of a film goes beyond box office numbers. “It’s about how long audiences remember it. Ek Tha Tiger, which was once a top grosser, is now enjoying international recognition. It’s a proud moment that people are still talking about this film even after so many years,” he wrote.
Produced by Yash Raj Films, Ek Tha Tiger was the first installment of the YRF Spy Universe. The film featured Salman Khan as a RAW agent and Katrina Kaif as an ISI agent, and was made on a budget of ₹75 crore, collecting over ₹330 crore worldwide. The franchise later expanded with Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan, and Tiger 3, while the upcoming War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, will continue the legacy.
