Sajjala says YSRCP will fight until privatize medical colleges built by YS Jagan reversed

YSRCP State Coordinator Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy asserted that the YSRCP will fight until the coalition government’s decision to privatize medical colleges built by former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is reversed, and that it will work together with political parties, public organizations, and intellectuals.

Unveiling a poster on “YSR Congress Party People’s Movement” at the YSRCP central office in Tadepalli, he explained that in addition to the one crore signature collection campaign currently being carried out under the party’s auspices against the privatization of medical colleges, awareness rallies will be held in 175 constituencies across the state on the 28th of this month.

He said that the signature collection will be completed by November 24 and that former CM Y.S. Jagan, along with party leaders, will hand over copies of those signatures to the state governor.

He said that their party has demanded immediately withdrawing the decision taken by the coalition government to hand over government medical colleges to private companies in the state. He said they will continue to create awareness among the people on the demand that the 17 government medical colleges built by former CM YS Jagan should continue in the government sector.

He said that as part of the collection of this one crore signatures, rallies will be organized across the state with the support of students, employees, intellectuals and the people. In this context, it was revealed that rallies will be organized under the auspices of the YSR Congress Party in all district centers on November 12.

Sajjala explained that by the time the YSRCP steps down, 7 medical colleges had been completed, while 80 to 90 percent of the work on three more colleges, Adoni, Madanapalle and Markapuram, was completed and was in the advanced stage, while the remaining colleges were in various stages.

He warned that if private individuals were filling their pockets by using land buildings through the PPP model adopted by Chandrababu, the poor would become destitute. He accused Chandrababu Naidu of destroying the state economically and using his media power to portray others as saboteurs.
