Sajjala Non-cooperative In police Interrogation In Attack on TDP office case

YCP general secretary and former state government adviser Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, who has attended for police interrogation on Thursday at Mangalagiri Rural police station, is said to be non-cooperative. He has given evasive answers and refuses to give his mobile phone for verification.

Mangalagiri CI Srinivasa Rao said that they have investigated A120 in the case of attack on TDP office and  asked 38 prepared questions. But mostly his answer was `I don’t know’ or `I am not remembered’.

However,  the CI asserted that they questioned him on the basis of solid evidence they gathered during their last three months inquiry into this case. Sajjala is said to be arguing that he had no role in the attack on TDP office by YCP cadre and he was away from the incident, at a far away place.

CI Srinivasa Rao said that the investigation of the case has almost reached its final stage. But, as many of the accused had been protected by the courts, due to which the trial of the case could not proceed as quickly as expected. He said that if the accused are arrested, the investigation will be completed quickly.

Moreover, the state government announced transfer of the case to the CID for investigation. So, CI Srinivasa Rao said that the files will be given to the CID as soon as the orders are received.

Mangalagiri DSP Muralikrishna and  Rural CI Srinivasa Rao questioned Sajjala. Dramatic developments took place at the Mangalagiri Police Station when Sajjala attended the hearing.

Advocate Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy also tried to be present at the time of questioning, but he became angry when the police refused to allow him to enter the police station.

Though Sajjala claimed that he was far away from the incident on that day, the police are believing that in his direction only the attack on TDP office was engineered.
