Though already the police investigation has identified that three key IPS officers were responsible for the illegal arrest and torture of Mumbai actress Kadambari Jethwani, during previous government’s regime and they were suspended, it also said to be established two key persons has monitored the entire `drama’ from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).
It was due to their direction three IPS officers were involved beyond crossing all professional limitations. They were present when the three IPS officers hatched the conspiracy. They are former chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy and an IAS officer, who has practically controlled the CMO for the last five years.
Police investigation revealed that in their presence, on January 31, PSR Anjaneyu, the then intelligence chief, called the then Vijayawada CP Kanti Rana Tata and DCP Vishal Gunni to the CMO and ordered them to arrest Jethwani.
Two or three days before that, YCP leader Kukkala Vidyasagar was also called to the CMO and the whole strategy was explained. At the time of these meetings, the police collected technical evidence that all the tower locations were shown at the same place.
Top police officers feel that important points have been omitted in Vishal Gunni’s written statement. Sajjala has reportedly told them that ‘This is a matter related to the closest people of the Chief Minister. To be undertaken very secretly. That is why we are entrusting it to you’.
Three IPS officers are already facing charges in the Jethwani case. Along with them, the police have got preliminary evidence regarding the involvement of Sajjala and an IAS officer also. The police also felt that the forgery document, which was the basis for Jethwani’s arrest, was prepared on the order of Sajjala and PSR Anjaneyulu.
It seems that the lawyer from Vidyasagar and Prakasam district was called to the CMO several times before January 31 and discussed this conspiracy plan. Police are in the process of collecting more in-depth and scientific evidence on these. After that, they want to include these two key persons also as accused in the case.
The police found that the top police officers who played a key role in the Kadambari Jethwani task received huge benefits from the industrialist’s connections in Mumbai. It seems that before the case was registered against her, after Jethwani’s arrest, they received huge amounts of money several times. Investigators are currently working to trace those sources.
