While Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is saying that he will clean up the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) administration and restore its former glory, many TDP supporters are unable to digest that officials, who were known for their proximity with YSRCP leaders and who had been in cahoots with YSRCP leaders and had turned the wheel during the previous government, getting key positions.
These transfers, which were made after Anil Kumar Singhal became the TTD EO, have become a topic of discussion. There are criticisms that the YSRCP leaders are trying to continue their influence in the coalition government as well. The post of Deputy EO of the main temple is very crucial. Harindranath continued in this post for three and a half years during the previous government.
During that time, there were many allegations against him. Former TTD chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy was seen as a close associate of former EO Dharma Reddy. He was transferred back to the Tirumala main temple from where he was the Deputy EO of the Padmavati Temple in Tiruchanur. There are 19 deputy EOs in TTD, and the posting of Harindranath, who has been in touch with YSRCP leaders, has become a topic of discussion.
Ramakrishna, who worked as an OSD in the previous government, is known to work under the watchful eye of top YSRCP leaders. At that time, he used to have VIP break darshan with tens of followers every time, contrary to the rules of Roja, who was a minister. There are criticisms that Ramakrishna is the one who arranges all this.
Ramakrishna has been given a posting again as the assistant EO (temple peshkar) of Tirumala temple. That is, he will again look after matters like darshans. On the other hand, Govindarajan, who has knowledge of Agama Shastras, Nithya Kainkaryam, and many other issues in the TTD administration department and has been transferred to Kalyanakatta. This post is generally considered a punishment.
Meanwhile, the government recently appointed Anil Kumar Singhal as the Executive Officer (EO) of TTD. This is his second stint as the TTD EO. Singhal served as the EO between 2017 and 2020. He explained that he met the CM and took advice after the orders were issued.
He said that the quality of laddu and Annaprasada has improved over the past year. He revealed that he will also focus on the use of technology to protect the sanctity of the Srivari temple and do justice to the common devotees. He said that he is planning to build Srivari temples in the capitals of other states as well.
