The recently released film Sitaare Zameen Par, starring Aamir Khan and Genelia in lead roles, has garnered praise from actor Riteish Deshmukh. Released in theatres on Friday, the film is being hailed by Deshmukh as one of the finest cinematic experiences of the year.
In a social media post, Riteish described Sitaare Zameen Par as “the best film of the year” and urged audiences to watch it. “Please do yourself a favour and watch Sitaare Zameen Par. It is not just a film, but an incredible experience. It makes you laugh, it moves you to tears, and by the time it reaches the climax, it uplifts your spirit,” he wrote.
He further added that the true stars of the film are the children, who delivered outstanding performances and left a strong emotional impact. “Aamir Khan once again proves why he is among the finest actors in the country with a deeply stirring performance. Genelia creates magic on screen every time she appears. Her expressions, especially through her eyes, are powerful. I say this not as her husband, but as a fan of her craft,” he stated.
Riteish also commended director R.S. Prasanna for bringing the story to life with sincerity and grace.
Sitaare Zameen Par is a spiritual successor to the critically acclaimed Taare Zameen Par. While the original explored the struggles of children with learning disabilities, the new film focuses on children with intellectual disabilities who overcome challenges to achieve success. Aamir Khan plays a basketball coach in the film.
