Revanth Reddy Unveils Congress Promises For Delhi Polls; KTR Hits Back

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, while campaigning for Congress in the Delhi Assembly elections, unveiled the party’s election promises on Thursday. Revanth stated that a party involved in the Delhi liquor scam was defeated in the Telangana elections and expressed confidence in neutralizing a key player in the upcoming Delhi polls.

BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) responded with sharp criticism, accusing Revanth of ignoring promises in Telangana while making new ones in Delhi. “It is like promising gold bangles for a stepmother while neglecting to feed one’s own mother,” KTR remarked.

KTR also alleged that Revanth failed to deliver on 420 promises in Telangana and questioned his credibility in Delhi. “You couldn’t fulfill promises here but are now giving guarantees in Delhi. If you have the courage, announce these guarantees in Ashok Nagar and claim jobs were given. People would laugh at your claims,” he said, concluding with the slogan, “Jago Delhi Jago.”

Highlighting unfulfilled promises, KTR posed several questions, including:

– “Who is benefiting from free electricity?”

– “Where is the gas subsidy?”

– “Where are the ₹2,500 monthly payments to women?”

– “Who received a tola of gold?”

– “What happened to ₹7,500 under Rythu Bharosa?”

– “Where are the ₹4,000 Aasara pensions?”

– “Where is the ₹5 lakh education guarantee?”

– “What about electric scooters for girl students?”

KTR’s remarks cast doubt on Congress’s governance record in Telangana, questioning its ability to fulfill promises in Delhi.
