Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has accused Union Minister Kishan Reddy of becoming a slave of Gujarat (Gujarat ka gulaam). Strong refuting comments and criticisms made by Kishan Reddy regarding the Musi revival project, he lamented that Kishan Reddy for being impatient after seeing Telangana development during his tenure.
Revanth Reddy toured the constituencies where Telugu people are mostly settled for the Maha Vikas Agadhi candidates in Nagpur on Sunday as part of the campaign for the Maharashtra Assembly elections. Speaking to the media he rediculed Telangana BJP leaders sleeping at Musi catchment areas for a night.
He said that Kishan Reddy had applauded and expressed happiness when the Sabarmati Riverfront was developed in Gujarat, and reminded that the government had relocated 50,000 people for that project. He said that if such a project was undertaken, they are opposing in Telangana.
He said that Kishan Reddy has become a slave to Gujarat and worried that the Telangana model is developing in line with the Gujarat model and it will become a role model for the country. He said that the policies being followed by the Congress government under his leadership in Telangana will be an ideal for the entire country and the Gujarat model will fail miserably.
Revanth Reddy flagged that just as Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar cheated the people of Maharashtra with their own money, Kishan Reddy is also cheating the people of Telangana for his own selfish political interests. Revanth Reddy said that no matter what the Telangana BJP leaders including Kishan Reddy think, they will go ahead with the Musi River Revival Project.
He said that the Musi Riverfront will be completed within the stipulated time. He made it clear that Telangana will be kept as a role model in the country. He warned voters of Maharashtra that two Gujaratis came to loot Maharashtra and that they had drawn a sketch to loot a large amount by obstructing the Dharavi project.
He questioned whether the BJP leaders did not want to repair the Musi River? Then, he asked why Kishan Reddy did not question Prime Minister Narendra Modi when the Sabarmati River was cleaned? The CM questioned whether the Gujarat model has failed if the Musi project is not being stopped? He expressed anger that the BJP used Eknath Shinde as a pawn to deceive the people of Maharashtra. He alleged that Kishan Reddy is being used in the same way in Telangana as well.
