Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced that Zaheerabad will be developed as a `Gateway of Industries’. He inaugurated the Zaheerabad Railway Over Bridge built at a cost of Rs. 100 crore in Zaheerabad constituency and the Kendriya Vidyalaya building built at a cost of Rs. 26 crore in Machanur on Friday. He laid the foundation stone for the works to be undertaken across the constituency at a cost of Rs. 494.67 crore.
Later, speaking at a public meeting organized in Pastapur, he said that he had come to know about the injustice done in the land acquisition of Zaheerabad Industrial Estate and assured that the compensation will be increased for the farmers who were given the lands. He said that Indiramma houses will be constructed for 5,612 families who lost their lands in Zaheerabad NIMS.
He said that necessary funds will be allocated for Zaheerabad. Recalling the connection between Medak district and late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, the CM said that the Congress party will never forget the people of this district, saying, “Medak district means Indira, Indira means Medak district.”
He assured that all the necessary funds will be sanctioned for the comprehensive development of this area. He said that the Singur project will be developed under eco-tourism, for which funds will also be sanctioned soon. Revanth Reddy said that he will take help from the central government for the development of the state.
He said that he will meet Prime Minister Modi as many times as he can for the funds due to the state. He said that politics will be only during the election period. He said that he will move forward with everyone for development. Revanth Reddy reminded that as soon as his government came to power, he implemented the Rythu Bharosa scheme along with the farmer loan waiver.
He clarified that his government’s goal is to make one crore women crorepatis in the state in the next five years. He said that women will be encouraged in the business sector to compete with big industrialists like Adani and Ambani. The Chief Minister assured that if farmers form a cooperative society to set up a sugar industry locally, he will allocate 100 acres of land in Nimz and also sanction the necessary funds.
