Revanth Reddy says Jagan Is A Dead Snake, people Taught Him A Lesson

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy said that former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jaganmohan Reddy is a dead snake now and the people of the state have taught him a lesson. Speaking to the media in New Delhi, he made sensational comments against Jagan.

He said that at least now Jagan should understand that people will not tie up power to take personal revenge. He said that the people gave him only 11 seats in the recent elections to prove that the people were not happy with the work done by Jagan after coming to power in 2019.

He said that when the people of AP gave more than 150 seats to Jagan, they gave them out of faith, but the same people thought that he was doing something wrong and confined him to 11 seats. He said that Jagan’s way of dealing hurt him.

He recalled that YS Jagan had scolded some of his party MPs for meeting him in Delhi.  But such people joined other parties and won in the elections. He said that due to Jagan’s actions, the industries in AP were damaged and that state was also damaged.

Revanth Reddy strongly refuted notions that his government had demolished illegal constructions near Jagan’s palace in Hyderabad on the advice of AP CM Chandrababu Naidu. He asserted that he has respect towards Chandrababu Naidu, but there is no question of compromising on the interests of Telangana.

He made it clear that he was not at all involved in that demolition and he also has no prior- information. He said that as soon as he came to know about the demolitions, he attached the officer to the GAD.

Revanth Reddy made interesting comments on TDP’s decision to keep away from elections last year in Telangana. In a way he admitted that it would be difficult for Congress to gain power had TDP contested in the polls. He only said that if TDP contested it would have got about 10 percent of votes in Telangana, which may certainly affect the overall results.

Referring to Jagan’s regime, he said that people will never tolerate `politics of victimization’. He recalled that  even though Chandrababu Naidu got only 23 seats in AP in 2019, he fought for five years without leaving the core politics and that’s why he won a huge victory again.
