Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy lauded the enduring respect commanded by Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, stating that it transcends official positions and party affiliations. Speaking at the book launch of Dattatreya’s autobiography *Prajala Kathe Na Aathmakatha* at Shilpakala Vedika, Revanth highlighted the governor’s unwavering political commitment and close ties with the public.
“From humble beginnings in Gauliguda Galli to the esteemed office of Haryana Governor, Dattatreya has always maintained a strong bond with ordinary people. He actively participated in small community events and celebrations,” Revanth said. He added that he shares close personal relations with the Dattatreya and Kishan Reddy families and has openly acknowledged these ties despite his own political journey across parties.
“Following the recent cabinet expansion, I made it a point to attend this event immediately to honor Dattatreya, who is known for his impeccable friendship and leadership,” the CM noted.
Revanth further emphasized Dattatreya’s influence in Telangana’s political landscape, comparing it to the national stature once held by Atal Bihari Vajpayee. “His leadership in the ‘Alay Balay’ initiative inspired the Telangana movement. New politicians can learn much from his style and approach. In times of hardship in the twin cities, leaders like PJR and Dattatreya remain memorable to the public. They have even helped us with recommendations for Tirupati visits and railway reservations. Their guidance continues to inspire our decisions,” he said.
Jokingly referring to the large gathering of governors and ministers at the event, Revanth quipped, “This venue resembles a parade of governors. It looks like the entire Congress cabinet is here. I might as well hold a cabinet meeting right here.”
The event witnessed participation from several state governors and Telangana ministers.
