Revanth Reddy Government Reeling Under A Financial crisis, Forced To postpone Yuva Vikasam

The Congress government is reeling under a financial crisis after Chief Minister Revanth Reddy himself said, ‘No debt is created.. No one can trust us.’ It is struggling to raise funds for key schemes like Rythu Bharosa, Yuva Vikasam, Indiramma Indlu, employee dues, and fee reimbursement. It is clear that the state’s credit has been reduced by declaring bankruptcy and ultimately turning Telangana into a bankrupt state.

It is learned that the Cabinet meeting held on Thursday is mainly focused on how to raise funds for the schemes. The Yuva Vikasam scheme, which was supposed to be launched on Telangana Formation Day, has been postponed due to lack of sufficient funds! The Yasangi season Rythu Bharosa has not been completed yet. Only farmers with three acres have been covered.

Farmers with more than three acres have not received the Rythu Bharosa. There is still a balance of Rs. 4,000 crore. Now another Rs. 9,200 crore is needed for the monsoon season. It remains to be seen whether the cabinet will approve the funds of Rs. 13,200 crore.

The list of eligible beneficiaries of the Yuva Vikasam scheme has already been prepared. Rs. 6,000 crore has been proposed in the budget for this scheme. Initially, Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka has decided to distribute cheques to beneficiaries of Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 1 lakh units. He said in the review of officials and in the assembly that the cheques will be given on June 2 on the occasion of the foundation day.

It is learned that the Chief Minister asked the Deputy CM how the date will be decided without raising funds. It is against this backdrop that the Yuva Vikasam scheme was postponed on June 2. Five DAs are pending for government employees. If July 1 comes, the sixth DA will be pending!

Employees have started fighting for the pending DAs.  The government has formed a three-member committee with three senior officials to resolve 57 issues of employees. The committee met with the leaders of the employee unions and accepted the proposals.

They compiled everything and submitted a final report to the government. On Wednesday, the JAC leaders met with Bhatti Vikramarka, the chairman of the ministerial sub-committee, and appealed to him to resolve their issues and fulfill their demands.

Even if the government wants to pay DA alone, at least Rs. 700-800 crores will be required. The dues that need to be paid urgently are up to Rs. 1,000 crores. The total pending bills of the employees have reached Rs. 11,000 crores.

The Congress government has announced that 4.50 lakh Indiramma houses will be built across the state, 3,500 per constituency. Rs. 22,500 crores are required for this. The government has also selected the first phase beneficiaries in some areas.

As beneficiaries start construction of houses in various places, funds have to be deposited in their accounts in three installments. The government is struggling to find a way to achieve this huge financial target.
