Chief Minister Revanth Reddy alleged that a dispute arose with AP CM Chandrababu Naidu over sharing of Krishna waters due to 10-years mis-rule of KCR government. He said that if KCR had completed the Palamuru Ranga Reddy project in the last ten years, there would not have been a dispute with Chandrababu Naidu now.
He alleged that if water is being diverted to Rayalaseema KCR has done injustice to Palamuru by taking away the funds. In the combined state, he recalled that the Palamuru- Ranga Reddy project was sanctioned from Jurala with Rs. 16,000 crores and tenders were called for Rs. 35,000 crores. But, he deplored that those funds were taken away in the name of redesigning the projects, and now it has become a curse for Palamuru.
Revanth Reddy expressed concern that now the Rs. 35,000 crore project has been increased to Rs. 55,000 crores. He questioned whether it was their sin to make KCR the MP for Palamuru and electing BRS in 13 seats of Palamuru in the last elections?
The Chief Minister, who visited Narayanpet district on Friday, inaugurated the ground breaking ceremony for the construction of Indiramma houses, medical, para-medical and nursing colleges. He also inaugurated a petrol bank set up under the auspices of the Mahila Samakhya in the district center.
Speaking at the Prajapalana Pragathi Sabha organized on this occasion, the CM accused that when YSR was in power, Pothireddypadu was being increased from 4,000 cusecs to 40,000 cusecs, Harish Rao was the minister and he was doing a favor for Rajasekhar Reddy and KCR was allowed to transfer Krishna water to Rayalaseema.
Later, he lamented that when his son Jaganmohan Reddy became the CM, he was called to the official Pragathi Bhavan and questioned whether it was KCR who drafted the plan for the Rayalaseema lift? He alleged that KCR had facilitated the construction of Pothireddypadu and Muchumarri without stopping it for a single day.
Revanth Reddy lamented that KCR laid the foundation for diverting 300 TMC per day within a month, if the Rayalaseema Lift was completed in a hurry. He deplored that Palamuru had become a desert and that injustice had been done by stalling the projects here.
