In a significant development in the Laggacherla attack case, Heeryanaik, a farmer held in remand custody, suffered chest pain during a medical examination at Sangareddy jail. The incident, where Heeryanaik was handcuffed while being transported to the hospital, sparked strong outrage from Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
Expressing his anger, CM Revanth questioned the necessity of handcuffing the farmer for hospital transportation. He spoke with officials to gather details about the incident and ordered a comprehensive investigation, instructing senior officials to submit a detailed report.
Heeryanaik initially received treatment at the Sangareddy government hospital after experiencing chest pain. His condition is now stable, but he has been transferred to the Panjagutta NIMS (Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences) for advanced medical care. The farmer is currently being treated in the NIMS Emergency Department.
The Chief Minister has issued clear instructions to ensure Heeryanaik receives the best possible medical attention and care.
