Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy convened a meeting with Water Board officials today, marking his first session as the Chairman of the Board. During the meeting, the Chief Minister emphasized the need for long-term plans addressing the water requirements of city residents by 2050.
The discussions focused on the Godavari Phase-2 project and water collection from Mallanna Sagar and Kondapochamma Sagar. To meet the city’s growing needs, the Chief Minister approved adjustments aimed at securing 20 TMCs of water. Additionally, he directed officials to construct an alternative pipeline for the Manjira pipeline to ensure a reliable water supply.
